I’m a retired teacher, academic and writer, spending most of my retired life gardening, walking, cooking, visiting family, but also thinking and writing about my time in the classroom.
On this site I’ve collected writing done both before and after retirement, both fiction and non-fiction.
I’d be delighted if you had a browse around.
I’d be even more delighted if you wanted to comment on anything, and/or if you wanted to receive notifications whenever a new post or book chapter (including audio) was posted.
Subscribers are in control and can customise what they receive. Or they can unsubscribe at any time.
If you’d like to sample some of my writing before subscribing, here are a few tasters.

A bit about me

I live in Canberra Australia, with my wife Jo and our dog Clancy.
I have four grown children and four grandchildren. They are all, of course, extraordinary.
I taught primary, secondary (English) and tertiary (teacher education), and also trained and worked as a psychotherapist, mainly with the young.
